Chapin Memorial Library invites everyone ages 8 to 108 to come explore the final frontier, viewing celestial wonders like the rings of Saturn, the craters on the moon and other jewels of the night sky. On Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, the library will host “The Universe & An All American Total Solar Eclipse,” an exciting program that describes the universe from the very small to the very large, and all the details of how to prepare for the rare total solar eclipse just two days later. The program begins inside, enjoying incomparable photos and videos of our universe and a solar eclipse, and ends outside (weather permitting), peering through a powerful telescope into the wonders of the cosmos.

Inside attendance is limited to 75 people. Doors open at 6:30 pm, the first 75 will receive tickets. Doors will close promptly at 7 pm! After the event, Solar Eclipse Glasses donated by Tidelands Health will be given to the ticket holding attendees.
