Strategic Planning Bootcamp for Nonprofits, April 24

Date: April 24, 2019

Time: 8:30 am

Great strategy can transform a nonprofit by creating momentum, framing future decisions, attracting deeper funding as well as driving operations.

This is a thorough and quick dive into what nonprofits need to know to position the nonprofit to develop and execute a planning process for achieving its mission. Good outcomes today certainly don’t ensure a future for tomorrow. Whether the plan is 2 years or 3 years, whether it’s called a business plan or strategic thinking, nonprofits find that taking the time to plan for the future and ask big questions will result in creating a stronger pathway to success.

The strategic planning process is an important tool for guiding a nonprofit’s goals, services, activities and sustainability. Furthermore, planning ensures that all staff and board members are aligned in their understanding of the organization’s work, priorities and ultimate mission. But strategic planning involves more than just jotting down a few notes or crunching some numbers. It requires a thoughtful and intentional approach from the development of the plan to the doing of the plan.

There is an $11 fee for the workshop which includes lunch and networking coffee. The workshop is open to all nonprofits serving the Outer Banks.

The workshop will start at 9 am with registration and networking beginning at 8:30.
